Orange Lip

Summer beauty is made for even, glowing skin, messy bed head, and bright lips; really, the simpler the better. I came across this glossy stain by Revlon, called the ColorStay Moisture Stain in Miami Fever, and knew it would be my new favorite lip for rest of the summer.

Make Up Forever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation is a great option for days when there is little time to spare for a beauty routine (somehow every day is like that in motherhood, it seems!) This stick has full coverage, but it can be worn as a light base too, with the right technique. Right after applying moisturizer, I stripe the stick right on my face: once across the forehead, each cheek, and down the center of the face. I blend everything together with my fingers, which melts it into the skin with the warmth of my hands, making for a skin-like finish. With a dusting of bronzer and undereye concealer, my face is done in just a few minutes.

Moving on to the eyes, a champagne shimmer shadow instantly brightens up the lid. Paired with a graphic black cat eye line, the eyes look defined but still fresh and modern. And finally, that electric orange gloss. Orange is one of those colors that looks good on almost every skin tone, and this glossy stain can be worn full on as a bright lip, or dabbed on lightly with a clear balm to sheer it out. What I love about the formula is how buttery it feels on the lips. After a few hours of wear, it leaves behind a really gorgeous just-devoured-a-popsicle stain.
