Summer is here! Which means it's time to bare the legs (no matter how pale they seem!) We picked up last weekend and spent the day in lovely DC neighborhood of Georgetown. For a day of walking, picnicking, and playing at the parks, I threw on a white cotton tank and white eyelet skirt with my old faithful army green button down. I love to balance a more feminine skirt and sandals with utilitarian pieces; it's modern and yet still fairly simple. The best part? I was cool, comfortable, and confident the entire day (despite the inflamed eczema I've been battling lately). For me, summer style isn't just about shorts and t-shirts. A few coordinating basics are just as easy to wear and look just a bit more styled.
