Monthly Favorites: Paleo Pantry Items

On the last day of every month, I am sharing my favorites, rotating between topics [see last month's post here]. This month, I am so excited about these paleo pantry items I've discovered because convenience foods are few and far between for a typical paleo diet. First up is this pancake and waffle mix by Birch Benders.

DESSERT PLATE: ANTHROPOLOGIE

This mix by Birch Benders is the ultimate easy breakfast, since it only requires water (and we add a little cinnamon). With my growing toddler, a hearty breakfast of pancakes helps keep her full longer, and I love that with this mix I can make 1 or 2 pancakes at a time, without slaving over a whole batch at once.

Chocolate is by far my favorite indulgence, but since I do not eat sugar, it has been difficult to find a brand that I can tolerate (that tastes good too!). This dark chocolate by Bulletproof is super rich, slightly sweet and salty, and the perfect treat before bed. My family loves them so much that I've had to find a secret spot to keep them in the pantry.

Right now there are a few ginger teas I am loving, but Three Ginger by Pukka has been my go-to after dinner to aid digestion, since it has added turmeric which is notably anti-inflammatory. For an afternoon iced tea, I mix it with a bag of green tea for added caffeine and antioxidants. I feel like a foodie nerd saying that, but you can't beat how refreshing it tastes on a hot day.

If you love sweet potato fries, you will love these sweet potato chips by Jackson's Honest. They are slow-cooked in coconut oil with the perfect amount of salt. Chips are such a fun snack on the beach, by the pool, or on a road trip, and I make sure we have a few bags in the pantry just in case we need an on-the-go snack.
